For instance, our premiere line, Teknion, was the first major office furniture manufacturer to achieve ISO 14001 certification, a rigorous product and manufacturing testing process that has become the industry standard.
Teknion Corporation has also become the first major office furniture manufacturer to achieve the GREENGUARD Children & Schools Certification for Indoor Air Quality for its major systems and seating products. GREENGUARD Children & Schools Certification presents the most stringent emissions criteria for products, and meets the State of California’s requirements for testing and qualifying low-emitting materials.
Teknion utilizes Sustainable Textiles and is one of the first manufacturers in the industry to introduce a PLA panel fabric (a biodegradable fabric derived from corn). Seventy percent of all Teknion standard fabrics include recycled content.
